Men’s 5s lined up with a strong team to play a Worcester team who have won all but one and are unbeaten this season. We started strongly but were undone in the end by a short, a penalty flick and a late classy solo goal despite scoring to bring the game to 2-1 at one point. Paul Bevington scored for us and Mike Jackson was guilty of just missing two deflections at either post in the first half by a few inches (or a few more centimetres for the young). Some work to do on getting on to those balls and being a little sharper so we leave disappointed but at the same time leave a tough fixture disappointed to lose which can’t be bad. If we can find a few more percent we can start to move on in this league and will work hard to do that.
